Movie Outing.. Finally!
We watched Gangster last Saturday. (Yes, the one where Rosyam Nor plays 3 characters.)
LOLs! Yeah, it was an unlikely choice, but I enjoyed the movie. Hmm, that has GOT to be those fast cars.
(OK, confession: I just love fast cars. Probably goes hand in hand with my obsession of roller coasters! I think some of my friends don't quite get it: This girl - who's at most a quiet, soft spoken girl - is soooo into rides involving high speed, gravity-defying loops and dropping from ridiculously high altitudes. Well, what can I say? How do you explain what are your likes and dislikes? You just can't.)
The movie ended at around 1.15pm. Iyin said she had to go off. Since Lene would only start work at 6pm, she and I decided to watch another movie. We decided to go for "Bridget Jones' Diary: The Edge of Reason" after getting a quick lunch.
Damn, she's hilarious, that Bridget Jones. (I'm thinking, how DID Ms Zellweger manage to gain AND lose that much weight?!)
And that Daniel Cleaver, well, cute as he may be, I thought he was a total jerk. (Hugh Grant is a funny man! Having an adorable face is definitely a plus ;-)))
Mark Darcy. Now, there's a man. I can't believe the things he did to rescue Bridget. Not to mention the actor playing the part being Colin Firth. (((sigh))) He's absolutely yummy. (((sigh again)))
So there I was immersed in one of the scenes when I though I heard something like someone sniffling, like trying to hold back tears or something.
Turns out that someone is Lene! Adoi cousin aku ni! You're ruining my concentration, woman!
Forcing my attention back to the movie, I then realised why Lene's "kilang air mata" was working overtime.
Err, in fact, I almost cried too at the end of that scene. Uwaaa! Why did they have to split up? And I refuse to believe that Mark Darcy could act that way. No way! He loves Bridget.
Right? Right?!?
Hmm, both Lene and I shed a few tears again at the end of the movie. (((sigh)))
***
Watching "Bridget Jones' Diary" probably wasn't the most brilliant ideas we both had. It served its purpose to remind us both of our state of "singleness". Me being unmarried, and Lene being a single mother of 2 boys.
But, I guess it also served its purpose to remind us that love doesn't care how old / how young you are.
Or how successful / unsuccessful your career is, or how much / how little you weigh. Neither does it care how beautiful or handsome a person is. (BTW, didn't you know that beauty is highly subjective?)
Love can happen to anyone, absolutely anyone.

So to everyone reading, my wish for you:
May your days are filled with the most sincere of love.
And, to many more great movie outings with your loved ones!
