Like honey to the bees
Come on, if you're a girl, and you're being honest to yourself, you'll admit that there's a teeny weeny part of you that find bad boys undeniably attractive.
So, who do you think are the bad boys?
To some, they are the guys who ride big bikes - which can be heard a mile away. To some others, a guy who's a huge flirt may fit the description of a bad boy. It could also be the guy who can't commit. Or the married man. Or it could be the one rumoured (only rumoured?) to be involved in some "lumba haram" on Saturday nights.
(For me, it's someone who either sports a goatie, or is bald. Or both.. *yummy*
Yeah, I know I'm guilty of judging a book by its cover. At least, my mind tells me that this is how a 'bad boy' would look like..)
You tell me what you consider a bad boy. My definition may not fit yours.

I remember when I was back in the UK, there's this boyband called Five (or it's spelled Fi5e or something). While a lot of articles in mags raved about one particular cute-faced Richard, it was J who caught my eyes. He sported a goatie and had one of his eyebrows pierced. Now that certainly didn't look like a nice-boy to me.
And in Smallville, while everyone else was ogling Clark Kent / Superman, I only have eyes for Lex Luthor.
*sigh* Do not ask me why, but my internal radar seems NOT to pick up the 'good boys'.
(Ahh.. now that would probably explain all the failed relationships eh? ;D )

It all boils down to... well, the ones who are out of reach. Or slightly out of reach. The ones that Moms warn their good daughters to stay away from. This is the guy that your girlfriends are trying their best to prevent you from falling in love with him. This is the guy that your overprotective brother would readily punch, in the event your feelings were hurt.
Perhaps that's where the appeal lies. Being out of reach.
After all, isn't it human nature to long for something they can't have? Isn't the one that's out of reach is the one that is most appealing to us? And of course from history we know that Eve succumbed to the one fruit that was specifically forbidden.
Or maybe...
It's a girl's secret desire to feel the triumph when she's able to capture the bad boy. And ultimately, she may think it's a challenge to transform him - from being a bad boy, to being a gentleman.
It's the taste of victory when a girl is able to say: "I did it! I changed him. He's a better man. And all because of me."
