Updating from Gleneagles

Dearest Friends,

Thanks so very much for your concern. InsyaAllah I'm OK here :)

I'm still warded (don't ask me how I'm accessing the Internet) - have been here since Wednesday noon. InsyaAllah will be discharged on Tuesday, hopefully before lunch.
No idea when I'll start working again.

I'm OK here. Apparently I need rest - can't move around much lah. Need to put my feet up.

I'm not admitted for my sugar problem, although being a diabetic kinda contribute to my being here :P

Will write the soonest possible.

Thank you so much for all the visits, calls, SMS's and comments (have yet to access any emails / my YM).

On MC

I went for my monthly appointment with the Doctor.
She took one look at my wounds (plus heard my complaints that I haven't been on MC at all last week, plus I said it hurts when the kain brushed against the gash), and gave me more ubat. And 3 days off.

Very nice.. ehehe..

I have another appointment with her on Wednesday.
In the meantime, I'm planning to do ... well, nothing, actually.

I think I can do that very well. :P

This morning, it turned out that Abah slipped in the bathroom.
Hurt his knee, I think.

So today, when he went for his appointment at SJMC, his doctor told him to take things easy.
Abah, too, is on a 3-day MC.

Err... Happy working, my friends.
I know I'm getting a few days off, but trust me, this is NOT how I want to spend time away from work :P

Healing slowly

My wounds are taking their own sweet time to heal.
At the rate I'm going, probably I'll need a few days of MC for the wounds to heal faster.
Sakit tau bila kain (of my baju kurung) asyik terkena luka tu. Macam mana nak cepat elok?

Anyway, I've got an appointment with the Doc at the hospital tomorrow. Let's see what she thinks.

1. Happy

Birthday on Saturday.
Received plenty well-wishes - calls, SMS's, blog comments, YM chatroom (bloggermalaysia), emails..
Thanks everyone. I love you all!

A bouquet of roses was delivered at work. 2 dozen red ones..
OMG! It's been too long since I last received any flowers. It made me all warm and fuzzy inside the whole time I was at the office on Saturday.

I got home and there was another bouquet of red roses waiting for me.
Wahhhhhhhhhh!! This is wayyy too amazing!
There was also a cheesecake waiting for me, which came together with a table arrangement (I have no idea what's the name of the flower, hehe..). Oh yes, the cheesecake is yummmyyyyy..

Made a lot of thank you calls & SMS's :D

That night, had dinner with Mak and Abah, and Iyin.

Overall mood: Happy!


2. Happy again

Attended TabbyCat's sister's wedding on Sunday afternoon.

Met Ta & Ta's Mak.

Brief discussion with Ta to organize big-scale reunion for secondary school. Put some ideas onto paper (ok, so it was napkin paper. LOLs.. it still served its purpose tau!)

Overall mood: Happy. And satisfied.


3. Gloom

Fell down the steps on Sunday.

Scraped my left shin - quite a deep cut. I could see the flesh inside. Hmm, is that what you call an open wound? I don't know, really - I'm no doctor :P

Sunday night, I discovered swelling on right ankle - then only I realised I sprained my ankle!

Overall mood: Gloomy. Not happy. It hurts!


4. Misery / In pain

Can't take MC - too much work to be done. So here I am at work.

Can't walk properly:
(a) left shin is healing, insyaAllah. But it's bloody painful! Arghh!
(b) right ankle is sprained. Doc adviced against urut. Mak asked me to go urut. So how now?

Meeting on Thursday - and it seems like I have tonnes to finish up. Yesterday was at work until about 9pm. When I should be at home and taking things easy.

Overall mood: In misery. I want to go home and sleep. And I'm in pain!

I suddenly recall what Sheils said once. And I think I'll do the same.

So tomorrow, for my birthday, I'm gonna buy a present. Not for me, but for Mak.
She gave birth to me 29 years ago, on this very day. At 4.30am! Without her, I wouldn't even be here to celebrate a birthday!

Busy. Even busier than the bees

Would love to blog - lots of things on my mind.
But I've been unbelieveably busy.

Today is Shar's last day in the department. Next month she's off to HK; I think she'll be staying with her fiance's family (their house is not ready).

Well, as you can probably guess, I'm taking over 100% of her work here at the office. Plus, I'm still doing 80% of my own things. And learning about 10% of Im's things.
Unbelieveable. Utterly attrocious workload lah this place has for me.

Don't get me wrong, I love my job here. The only reason I would leave is: SALARY.
Really. The pay's a pittance - I think it's inversely related to the amount of work I do. (Eh, does that mean I should be doing LESS work and hence get MORE pay??)

Hmm.. I think with the new system being put in place, most of the work processes and reports will be automated. No more 'manual labour' eh?

Well, let's hope so that's the case.

I've been absent from "blogging world" for a few days already. Am missing the nightly YM chatroom sessions with a few bloggers. I heard that I missed a good 'berbalas pantun' session?? Alaaaa.... RUGIIIII !!!

I'm also missing Radio Pencen. Pok Ku, play some Sade for me eh? But, I don't think I'll be tuning in tonight - I owe Mak some ironing. Hehe.. If it's up to Mak, probably I'll have to finish about 8 pairs of baju kurung! (Yes, I do my ironing weekly.. and I'm wayyy overdue!)

Eyelashes

I've heard people telling me that, if I find an eyelash on my cheek, that means someone out there is missing me.
I can't recall though if it falls on the right cheek means differently than the eyelash being on the left one.

I'm at the office, typing away on the keyboard when I felt something on my cheek. When I checked, I saw 3 eyelashes!

So I thought, there might be a few possibilities:
1) Three different people are missing me right now
2) One someone is missing me BADLY (sampai 3 eyelashes?)
3) I'm shedding, and it starts with the eyelash
