Hmm..

Imagine this.. (ok, please indulge me hehe..)

I'm in a shop, and wanted to buy a bottle of liquid detergent - and my fave brand is Detergent A.
They come in 2 sizes - 2 litres and 3 litres..

Now.. this shop I'm in is having some sort of promotion..

Price tag reads:

"Detergent A - 2 Litres RM5.99 / 3 Litres RM5.29"

Yam is thinking: "What the heck?? How come the 3 litre bottles are cheaper? What's the catch?"

OK.. so maybe there's no catch.
OK lah.. Off I go to that shelf, but a lady beat me to it. Never mind, I can wait (there are lots of detergent bottle there..)

She immediately grabbed a bottle of Detergent A.

From the highest shelf.

Yam is thinking: "Hello..? There are LOTS of Detergent A on the lower shelves. Hmmmm... OK lah. Your choice lah woman.."

And then I noticed the label on the highest shelf:
"Detergent A. RM5.99. 2L"

Yam is thinking: "OMG! What is wrong with you woman??? The BIGGER bottle is CHEAPER! Why on earth would you want to pay MORE?!?!?!?"

Woman walks away - satisfied laa agaknya that she could reach the highest shelf (fine fine, she's not that tall. So maybe being able to reach that height is an accomplishment laa kot..)

Yam is thinking: "Err.. maybe Detergent A in lower shelves is nearing expiry date... Lemme check."
"Eh ini bukan food. Nak concern benar pasal expiry date buat apa? Ni nak basuh kain jek.."

Am I weird for thinking this way?
I thought I was being logical. Who would want to pay RM5.99 for the 2Litre stuff when you can get 3Litres for CHEAPER?!

Err.. apparently some people would actually pay.

Maybe there's some sort of other promo that I'm not aware of.
Yeah that must be it lah agaknya...

Dengan sekali lafaz, alhamdulillah yesterday at 3pm, my sister Yaya was married to Aniz.
The akad nikah was performed by Abah and witnessed by much loved family and relatives.

It's "epok-epok".

Not sure if it's a 'loghat' or dialect... But if I remember correctly, the last time I heard it when I was still in school. Itupun terkeluar dari mulut Induk, I think..

Uncle Sam mentioned it today. He wanted to tell Kai that 'karipap sardin' is all gone.. So he said to Kai: "Epok-epok dah habis"
